My mother 60 year old has been done chest CT scan and impression was mild pericardial effusion and bilateral pleural effusion.Doctor gave to her TB Medicine without any TB TEST. She still filing sick like fatigue,nausea ,upper abdominal pain and some other problem.Now after 30 days did Understanding Sonography for effusion presen but not effusion seen.But She steel filing vomit and fatigue, and some other effect,
So my question is without diagnosis TUBERCULOSIS medicine prescribed was right because now after TB test is negative and can stop TB medicine.

If there is a high suspicion for tuberculosis, treatment is given without present test results. If the test is negative, further workup is needed to find the cause of her symptoms.
