Presentation
We report an unusual case of an ectopic testis identified in a 37-year-old man presenting with acute severe right iliac fossa pain and an irreducible mass. [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
A gubernaculum was present. Colle’s fascia of the left scrotum was dissected. A left scrotal incision was used to anchor (orchidopexy) the left testis in a sub-Dartos pouch. Postoperative recovery was normal. [ajol.info]

- Inguinal Hernia
We report a case of 42 years, fertile male, who presented with left reducible inguinal hernia. During surgery, he was found to have a left indirect inguinal hernia with TTE with both testes on the left side. [academic.oup.com]

Discovery of crossed testicular ectopic is often intraoperative during herniorrhaphy with inguinal hernia. The typical clinical scenario is an inguinal hernia with contralateral undescended testicle ( 4 ). [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

Etiology

Although the etiology of both conditions is debatable, each is believed to be associated with an increased risk of testicular malignancy, and this poses a dilemma for the future management of this patient. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. [onlinelibrary.wiley.com]
Etiology Embryology etiology of omphalocele is considered due to failure of fusion of cephalic fold of the abdominal wall, caudal, and lateral to the central defect that resulted in the inhibition of lateral wall and folds occur in the midline omphalocele [herryyudha.blogspot.com]
Different hypotheses have been proposed regarding etiologies of ectopic testis. [casereports.in]
